Village of Woodridge Recognized as “World’s Greatest” Community

On Friday, February 8, 2008, Crown Point Productions, producers of the “World’s Greatest” TV show, announced that the Village of Woodridge would be featured on a future episode of the “World’s Greatest” show as one of five (5) U.S. communities selected as the World’s Greatest Communities.

Mayor William F. Murphy stated, “My fellow members of the Village Board and I are proud to share another fantastic recognition of our community with the many partners that help Woodridge to be one of the world’s greatest communities. This recognition is especially meaningful on the heels of being recognized by Money Magazine as one of the Top 100 Places to Live in the Nation.”

Mayor Murphy went on to state, “Those of us that live in Woodridge already recognize the community as one of the greatest places to live in the nation. We are excited to share with our fellow Americans the many wonderful qualities of the community we all call home.”

Woodridge was one of 150 Midwest communities to be considered for this prestigious recognition including. All members of the Woodridge community should be proud of what they have accomplished and their role in Woodridge’s recognition as one of the World’s Greatest places to live.
